Extraordinary Collection

The Extraordinary Collection, a portfolio of lodges and hotels in Southern Africa, will be conveying the message that the region has never been more accessible. There are new airlines serving the region, such as Alitalia connecting Rome and Johannesburg, and new inter-Africa services such Ethiopian Airlines, which now flies to Victoria Falls.

“Travel trends are showing that more guests want personalised boutique experiences, which is perfect for the Extraordinary Collection,” says Sales and Marketing CEO, Cindy Sheedy-Walker. “With the stronger rand, our great value packages and combination deals are really working well and we foresee a brilliant year ahead. Even though the forward book is strong, plenty of inventory across the group makes Extraordinary a good option.”

The group will be taking advantage of Africa’s Travel Indaba to officially introduce Mont d’Or properties. These are independently owned hotels with a geographical spread that includes the South African cities and towns of Pretoria, Clarens, Bloemfontein, Prince Albert and Franschhoek.

Visitors to the Extraordinary Collection stand at Africa’s Travel Indaba will hear news of plans to upgrade suites at The Cape Milner in Cape Town, upgrades at Imbali Safari Lodge in the Kruger National Park in the next few months, and the introduction of Mont d'Or properties.
