This varied role executes the wider marketing and trade relations strategy for Roam. The ideal candidate will be fully accountable with exceptional attention to detail and planning execution.

Sales Experience

Pre-requisite experience with the African tourism stakeholders and industry players (deep knowledge and experience with key tour operators, accommodation suppliers, and industry affiliations) Flexibility

Able to work on varied projects and commitments concurrently. This is a permanent role and that is based on being in office 5 days a week and after a 3 month period this can be reviewed with the Growth Director.

Required Skillset and Experience:

  • Social and Content marketing approval: (segment specific resonating with the Roam target audience)
  • Partnerships: Activations, opportunities and execution
  • Events: End to end industry event and trade show management  – booth/activation design, staff and collateral, including speaking sponsorships, hosted launch webinar, association membership and conferences, Tourism Boards ( local and regional)
  • PR & Traditional Media Management
  • Coordination with the Roam ambassadors and the Roam sales team
  • Budget and brand adherence. Working within the pre-defined parameters of budget, strategy and brand guidelines
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible, detail-oriented, and have strong administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast paced environments
  • Manage the development and execution of collateral for marketing and sales team

The ideal candidate will be 100% accountability of delivery of results. Self-starter without the need of daily management. They will work directly with the Growth Director.
