Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Reservations Consultant to join an exclusive luxury safari group. Based in either Johannesburg or Cape Town, this role is suited to a confident travel professional with a strong background in high-end reservations, luxury travel or bespoke safari sales.

The successful candidate will handle reservations across the group’s properties, while arranging additional travel services through selected third-party suppliers, including accommodation, transfers, tours and flights. You will work closely with international travel partners and guests to create personalised itineraries and ensure a seamless travel experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage enquiries, quotations and reservations for properties within the group.
• Design bespoke itineraries incorporating safari stays, other accommodation and travel experiences.
• Coordinate third-party bookings, including transfers, tours and flights.
• Build strong relationships with international travel advisors, DMCs and guests.
• Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings and identify suitable opportunities for itinerary extensions and additional services.
• Prepare accurate quotations, confirmations and travel documentation.
• Liaise with lodge teams and suppliers to communicate guest preferences and special requests.
• Manage booking details, availability and margins with care and accuracy.
• Assist with changes and resolve travel queries calmly and efficiently.

Requirements:

• A minimum of five years’ experience in luxury travel, safari reservations, sales or high-end DMC operations.
• Proven experience working with high-end properties and discerning international travellers is essential.
• Experience planning tailor-made itineraries and coordinating multiple suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of South Africa’s safari regions, Cape Town and the Winelands.
• Excellent written and verbal English, with a warm and professional communication style.
• Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Commercial awareness and a confident approach to sales and relationship building.
• Proficiency in travel reservations systems and Microsoft Office; Tourplan experience would be advantageous.
• Flexibility to support international clients across different time zones.
• Based in Johannesburg or Cape Town and able to accommodate a hybrid working arrangement.
