Job Description
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and client-focused Virtual Business Development Executive to support the onboarding of new agents, drive agent acquisition, maintain strong relationships with existing customers, and act as a reliable point of contact for escalations and ensure a seamless experience during their initial months. This role is heavily focused on providing onboarding assistance, being a dependable point of contact for new agents, and helping to set them up for success.

As a Virtual BDE, you will play a key role in establishing strong relationships from the start, ensuring agents are equipped with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive, and promptly addressing any questions or concerns.

As a Virtual BDE, you will be the face of the organisation to clients, delivering exceptional service and supporting their needs to ensure long-term partnerships.

You will be reporting into the Head of Commercial.

Key Responsibilities

Agent Onboarding Support:

  • Assist with onboarding new agents, ensuring they understand our products, services, and processes.
  • Provide training sessions and guidance to help new agents navigate tools and resources effectively.
  • Provide web training and guidance to assist new agents with our booking platform.
  • Share best practices and ensure agents are fully prepared to begin operations.

Point of Contact for New Agents:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for new agents during their initial months, addressing questions and resolving issues promptly.
  • Offer support in overcoming initial challenges, building confidence, and achieving early success.
  • Provide regular follow-ups to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

New Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to onboard additional agents, growing the network.
  • Promote the company’s values to attract high-quality agents.
  • Maintain clear communication to align agents’ needs with the company’s offerings.
  • Collaboration and Escalation Management.
  • Work closely with internal teams to resolve any issues faced by new agents, escalating where necessary to ensure quick resolutions.
  • Communicate effectively with the internal teams to deliver consistent and high-quality onboarding experiences.

Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualifications

Skills

  • At least 3 years experience in a similar position.
  • Proven experience in client support, agent onboarding or a related role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm and approachable demeanour.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple onboarding processes and priorities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to addressing concerns.
  • Proficiency in virtual communication tools and systems.
  • Must work UK hours in office.
  • Preferred: Experience in agent onboarding or support roles within the travel industry.  Commercial awareness of the UK market would be desirable.
