Job Description
- To successfully execute the conception, pricing, promotion and distribution of ideas, services and events to create and maintain client relationships that will satisfy individual and organizational objectives. Successfully contract client specific rates and services and implement the process involved.
- To ensure client expectations are met and the highest delivery of service is driven through the business.
- To ensure that clients are offered the best available price and product.
- To continually look at creative ideas and review products which are offered to clients.
- To build and retain relationships with clients with effective communication.
- To ensure that all correspondence, documentation, proposals, presentations are delivered accurately and timeously.
- To follow-up with clients and leads through Market Managers.
- Establish reason for decline of proposals.
- Increase conversion rate for quotes and meet targetsOffering of competitive rates, value for money options in the respecting turn-around times.
- Follow-up of all quotations.
- Presentation of proposals.
- Analyzing of weekly quote conversion reports.
- Understanding the needs of clients target market and developing of product accordingly within a competitive marketCommunicate market research with the relevant Market Manager.
- Assist with the formation strategy.
- Distribution channel analysis and development.
- New Business Development planning and management.
- Liaising between Business Development, Contracting and Market Managers.
- Client UpdateWhen supplier updates regarding rates are received, information must be updated on all contracts and offers and agents must be informed immediately of new rates.
- Information to agents regarding specials, renovations etc. to be done in conjunction with Marketing.
- Brochure Analysis.
- Collecting of competitors brochures and analysing to ensure continuous competitiveness within our specific markets.
- Supplier Negotiation.
- Understanding your specific market and the competition in order to achieve the main goal of ensuring our agents are competitive within the market.
- Maintaining good relationships with the suppliers in order to achieve these goals.
Qualifications
Matric/Grade 12
Tertiary Qualification in Tourism would be preferable.
Skills
- 2 years product development / contracting experience in the tourism industry / Groups and FITs
- Experience in tour consulting with groups and FITs would be an advantage
- Strong product knowledge and supplier relationships
- In depth pricing knowledge
- Extensive negotiation experience
Salary / Package: R25 000 – R30 000.
