Job Description

  • Develop and execute sales strategies and tactics
  • Attend sales meetings with senior management
  • Conduct market research on target audiences
  • Generate reports for management
  • Monitor and report competitor activity
  • Coordinate and distribute promotional materials
  • Maintain a comprehensive client and contract database
  • Conduct telesales and face-to-face sales calls
  • Meet or exceed sales targets
  • Participate in travel functions and industry events
  • Visit and maintain relationships with key clients.

Qualifications
Relevant Hospitality/Sales Diploma

Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years hotel/conference venue sales experience
  • High degree of self-motivation and ambition
  • High level of customer service orientation, discipline, organisational skills, attention to detail, and a strong drive to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills in English and proficiency in IsiXhosa, IsiZulu, or Afrikaans is an advantage
  • Previous experience in Groups, Conferences and Events sales
  • Previous experience in various market sectors i.e. Corporate, Government, Travel Management Companies and Professional Conference Organisers
  • Own vehicle required.
