Are you currently working for a Travel Management Company in a sales role with significant experience in a sales-driven environment?
Travel Counsellors for Business offers a truly unique travel management proposition for the SME market providing highly personalised, concierge corporate travel management and as the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for raising our profile across all sectors of business.
With your experience in building strong client relationships, you will develop and win new business opportunities in the SME business travel sector. Your responsibilities will include managing the full sales cycle including sourcing leads, identifying client requirements, presenting/meeting, closing, implementing, and allocating business to a Corporate Travel Counsellor; whilst further developing a deeply professional relationship with the client.
Focusing on client acquisition you will:
- Build the portfolios of our new and existing Corporate Travel Counsellors
- Continue to build on our YoY growth rate
- Enhance and develop our brand into the wider SME sector
- Continue to evolve our TC Teams offering allowing TCs to ‘grow and scale’.
Here’s what you can expect to be doing:
- Determining key stakeholders and proactively building relationships
- Generating new leads by cold calling key decision makers
- Development of client solution proposals in conjunction with internal support teams
- Building and leveraging internal relationships to achieve outcomes
- Ensure a consistent business pipeline to achieve sales targets
- Management of prospect relationship data into CRM system
- Attending networking and key corporate business events
- Continual growth of your lead network through LinkedIn
- Supporting the wider corporate travel team, and Corporate Travel Counsellors
- Work with the sales training team to ensure process is continually streamlined and standards are high.
What you’ll need to succeed:
You have a proven Travel industry experience gained from previous Sales/Account Management role. You have a proven track record in securing new business and wider business development. You can exceed targets, having had above average experience with outbound sales. You display excellent communication skills and can adapt style of communication to suit the audience or individual. You are highly engaging with a client focus. You are tenacious, self-motivated and confident. You are dynamic and able to operate at a fast pace. You have excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills. You actively seek out opportunities and find meaningfulness at work. You respect and value diversity. You pride yourself on building loyal and mutual trusting relationships with colleagues, Travel Counsellors and supplier partners.
Desired experience you’ll have:
- Excellent knowledge of the business travel arena inclusive of competitors
- An understanding of our model and how it differs to the wider TMC community
- A professional but likeable personality that Travel Counsellor franchisees will warm too
- Good knowledge of CRM systems.
